Nixon's Web Site

If you're reading this you've found your way to Nixon's own website. I encourage you to browse around and get acquainted with what's available.

Our home page is the quickest way to see what's happening. It includes a list of upcoming events along with occasional reminders, a pointer to any new web features, and some handy links. Our home page is updated at least with every issue of the Nixon News, sometimes more often. Each Nixon News is put on the web for those of us who like to get our news electronically.

Here's a brief tour:

• Information: an on-line copy of the school handbook.
• Staff: a complete staff list including links to send email or view teachers' classroom pages
• Calendar: the school calendar
• Nixon News: an electronic copy of the Nixon News
• For Parents: a page of links to useful information like lunch menus, supply lists, information about Star testing, etc.
• PTA: information about the PTA including officers and meeting schedule
• Scrip: information about the various Scrip programs
• Site Council: site council members and information
• PAUSD: a link to the district website

As the start of the new school year approaches, expect to see school supply lists appear along with other updated information.

A note about what you won't see on-line. We do not publish any children's names or photos. When they contribute to the Nixon News we use their initials only. We will also not put your phone number on-line unless you specifically request it. Nixon News flyers also generally are not published on-line. So be sure to check your hardcopy Nixon News for more information.

The Nixon website is maintained by Michele Wu, a parent volunteer. If you have any suggestions or ideas for changes I would love to hear them. I want our website to be as useful as possible.
