Lunch |
Children may bring their lunch or buy a hot lunch at school. Menus are sent home with the children every month and are attached to the Nixon News. This year, a full lunch, including milk, costs $3.75, or $0.40 for reduced-price-eligible students. Milk can be purchased for $.50. How to buy a lunch at Nixon: 1. Purchase a single lunch with cash, but we discourage this because children can lose the cash, and because handling cash at lunch slows down the lines. 2. Purchase a lunch with your child's student debit card (obtained in the classroom). To deposit money on your student debit card, a check should be written to PAUSD and left at the Nixon front office. Alternately, you may drop off your check at the Food Service Office at 25 Churchill Avenue Palo Alto, CA 94303. Please make checks payable to the Palo Alto Unified School District and put your student's name and room number on the check. You may also go on-line and deposit money at www.lunchdeposit.com, but there is a 6% fee for this option. The minimum on-line deposit is $20. Free and reduced lunches are handled through the district (applications are available in the office) and are applied to the student debit card.
